Rasidius — A Short Story

by Marc Desrochers

Captain Stu Macintosh was a special ops commando approached by the CIA to conduct a secret mission involving a mystery weapon. That was all the information given by Special Agent Charlie Sampson, a thirty-year veteran at the agency.

Upon his arrival at Langley headquarters, Stu spotted the director inside the entrance. He entered the building.

“Welcome to Langley, sir.”

“Thank you, Agent Sampson. I’m really excited about this weapon.”

“Yes. I’ll give you a full briefing once we get upstairs.”

The two proceeded to the agent’s office.

“Alright, Sampson, let’s get down to it. What’s this secret weapon all about?”

“Ah, yes, the weapon. Our top genetics researchers have made a discovery regarding a certain blood type. They have found a link to a race of human reptiles.”

“That’s ridiculous. I can’t believe I came all this way to hear some stupid story about aliens. I’m leaving,” the captain said as he stood up.

“Please don’t leave, Captain! I just need a few more minutes to explain myself.”

“Alright, I guess I just lost patience. Continue with your story.”

“Yes, as I was saying… What we have discovered is that the solar system is heavily populated. Eons ago, the planets actually were not planets at all. They were spacecraft from another dimension. We believe that the ships came through a portal, began rotating around the sun, and eventually formed the planets we know today.”

“Are you serious? Where did you get your intel?”

“Honestly, I will tell you everything. I just need you to open your mind and really try to grasp what I’m going to tell you. But first I must show you something.” Suddenly the agent transformed into a humanoid reptile. The captain couldn’t believe his eyes.

“What the hell? Who are you?”

“I am Rasidius. What you see now is my true identity, and now I will tell you what is happening. The reptilians are not the aliens. There lies in wait a threat to the Earth like nothing you have ever seen. We call them ‘greys’ and their population has increased passed the million-mark. They are ready to take over the Earth. We are now gathering the world’s most elite soldiers, all of reptilian descent, to lead humanity to victory. You are the secret weapon, captain, and the link to the ancient line of human reptiles. You see, captain, a very long time ago we created the first humans to help defend our planet. They were made with the blood of my ancestors. This same blood flows within you and others like you.”

Unexpectedly, the telephone rang. Rasidius glanced at the numbers on the screen. His face dropped as he slowly answered.

“Osidius?”

“Yes, brother,” replied the voice on the other line. “I have terrible news.”

“What is the matter?”

“The greys have breached the twentieth level; we need more fire power…”

Suddenly, the signal was lost.

“Alright, captain, you have to come with me now. I will explain on the way.”

“On the way? Where?”

“Area 54. Are you ready to join the ranks of your reptilian brethren in combat?”
